Update from
PRBC COVId-19 task force
February 23, 2022

Last week, Mecklenburg County City Council lifted the mask mandate for indoor activities effective Saturday, February 26. The next day Governor Cooper had a press conference with the NC CDC Director and encouraged all NC counties to lift the mask mandate in all counties. Our task force has always made decisions for our congregation based on both county and state government ordinances.

Beginning Sunday, February 27 our campus will be MASK OPTIONAL.

This means that you have the option of wearing masks while on campus, including during worship. The choir will have the option to sing without masks in rehearsal and in worship. Our campus partners will be allowed to follow this same policy for meetings and sports activities, including opportunities for food and beverages to be allowed at meetings. Youth and children’s activities will go back to normal with this mask optional policy. Of course, we recognize that many people will choose to continue to wear a mask, and as always, we honor everyone’s own comfort level concerning COVID-19 protocols.

However, we will still sit one pew apart for now and continue to have hand sanitizer available for all. Please continue to self-assess before attending worship or going out into public settings.

The task force will continue to monitor updates and make decisions to protect our congregation and campus partners.
